The two best songs ever about justice/law/order

1. Hurricane -Bob Dylan
2. Mercy Seat -Nick Cave.

Mercy Seat is probably the darkest song in my library, but it is amazing. So intense. Engulfs you.

The past few days

Once again Jamie puts the icing on my latest feature filled post. Cheers, got a good way of actually coherently making sense of what I write. His post is spot on. (of course the disclaimer part as well)

anddddd once holly also makes speculation which seems to kinda make sense but also kind of not. I’m not exactly following you there completely bro.

In other news, now marks the start of the twelfth day of the year, and for the first time in quite a while I actually have some plans.

I’m meeting Emma at around 1 to go see sherlock holmes, which should be quite good 🙂 and then afterward I’m heading to the cricket with evie and a few others but can’t remember all of them off the top of my head. So that should be pretty fun.

Yesterday I did literally shit all, except, at one point I called kels a cougar and made a realllyyy funny picture, but like I’ll have to ask permission before I post that.

The day before that I came back from sydney.

Oh Sydney, okay I’ll talk about that briefly.

So on Monday I flew up to Sydney to interview Michael Cindric from Sentia and it went really well. He had a lot to say and the interview went for a solid 5 minutes of goodness. Later that night I went for dinner with my mum and auntie, and snuck into an overage section of this bar (bars are nothing new to me, just sydney has much stricter laws) and I had a good dinner. I hadn’t shaved in a while, so I looked pretty old anyway.

Later on I came back to the hotel and continued with writing about some stuff from CES. Did you know Beiber is there? Lucky bastard. It’s an industry event, he isn’t in it. But yeah then I came home the next day.

That’s all for now

Maybe the fact that there are so many complete wankers out there these days around so many awesome girls that they ruin their perception on men for the really nice guys.

It actually makes me really angry sometimes. I’m going to sound a bit full of myself here, but I need to give myself a little bit of credit. I’m a pretty nice guy. I try as hard as I possibly can to just not be a wanker to girls. I try really hard to actively be nice but sometimes it just seems like it gets you nowhere.

And I’m not the only person like that. Any guy who has the password to this blog, from what I can tell, is trying to do the same. But it’s still a very limited number of guys. Maybe Darcy, Jamie (part of access to this blog thing above), and like idk, connor josh, josh? From what I can think up on the top of my head, of my (in some of those cases) fairly limited knowledge of them, they seem like pretty nice guys, with clear intentions and not a load of social manipulation going on. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

And while I still like some of the other guys as friends, I’ll never be as good with them as I will be with some other guys. Because in the back of my mind what I know about the way they think and talk will always put me off.

Please just open your eyes women of my social scape, pick your self confidence and self  respect up out of the gutter and please, please, stop being played. It’s really killing me to watch.

So last night I made a post, and it has drawn a little attention from somebody asking about what the whole thing was about. And you know what? I really want to answer that question in a great way.

There are a few real close friends of mine, who have dealt with so many things in their lives. And I’m not talking about anybody specifically, or any specific things. It’s just everything.

Everything that so many amazing friends of mine have had to go through in their life, and they’re still standing here strong. I have absolutely nothing but respect for these people, and they deserve nothing but it. The sort of personality these people have is better than anything, and I have so much respect.

However, again in response to Bethann’s post and my own, I still don’t believe her sound is right to go completely top 40 mainstream for a while.
She has an *extremely* specific kind of music, a genre I can barely put my finger on, but it’s also one that feels like an acquired taste. Well at least her most recent song.
Just something about it.
Also, I’m considering de password ing this blog and just trusting you guys with the URL and then moving to WordPress or something.

Bethanns post regarding LDR is pretty spot on. I’ve known about her for a while but never actually taken a liking to any of her music until yesterday. The other stuff felt way to pop sounding for me, in a really strange way, because it wasn’t even. Like that influence of Britney was way to strong.

Ok, I kinda only really like her in Born To Die though. She cited Kurt Cobain, Elvis Presly and Britney Spears as inspiration. Her other songs sound too britney-ish. Born To Die is simply amazing though.
